THIS TRIP INCLUDES
This trip will lead you to the Mount Redeemer (Redentore), the second highest peak of the Aurunci Mountain, a mountain range of southern Lazio, in central Italy. It is part of the Antiappennini, a group running from the Apennines chain to the Tyrrhenian Sea, where it forms the promontory of Gaeta. The Aurunci are the only Lazio mountain chain with peaks over 1,500 meters overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea . Along the way you will enter into a heterogeneous territory, made of wild nature, rocky ridges, over 1300 species of flowers getting the interest of many researchers and botanists. You’ll have the chance to see the fabulous statue of the Christ (1250 mt) and the ancient Christian Monastery of St. Michael Archangel,  whose place was obtained directly from the rock wall faced to the West.

Take your time to enjoy a unique view over the gulf of Gaeta, covering  the Vesuvio Volcano and the islands of Ischia and Capri. The view from this peak is considered maybe the most beautiful from the Aurunci Mountains.  Before taking the way back to the departure point you’ll stop for a packed lunch. A relaxing break surrounded by the cows and horse that live freely in the mountains.
